Dr. Jackson Walker
Dr. Walker’s journey in veterinary medicine began with a deep fascination and love for all animals as a child. It is this same passion and driving force that motivate him today. As an Anderson native, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Anderson College, where he received the Physics Award in 2004 and the Chemistry Award in 2005. He continued his education at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2009 with the Avery Equine Award. With extensive education and years of experience, he has honed his skills to provide exceptional care for dogs, the animal he is most passionate about.
Dr. Walker’s approach is grounded in empathy and transparency. He believes in building lasting relationships with his patients and their families, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their pet’s health journey. By focusing exclusively on canine health, Dr. Walker has developed a deep understanding of breed-specific needs and conditions, offering the most effective and personalized care possible. The canine-exclusive model centers on intentional care in a calm, welcoming environment. Under Dr. Walker’s disciplined leadership, each visit is thorough, personalized, and unrushed. He has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine, and the sporting breeds.
As a small business owner and leader, Dr. Walker has taken great care over a long period of time to attract and keep great staff. It is with these wonderful people that he spends most of his time and considers Walker Canine Care to be a team of exceptional, passionate, like-minded individuals. When not at work, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children the most and his hobbies include upland hunting, saltwater fishing, aviation, and hanging out with his horse, Crackerjack.
